Axle Dynamics is a leading aftermarket brand of braking and friction components with a focus mainly on the heavy and commercial vehicle industries and other automotive high-inertia applications.

All of the Axle Dynamics products hold full legislative approval to European standards where applicable. This includes the ECE Regulation 90 that governs the conformity of production of aftermarket friction material products in Europe.

The portfolio of friction materials is continually evolving as new products are developed in order to maintain its position as a leading aftermarket brand.

Service is key to Axle Dynamic’s success and we pride ourselves on our ability to react to the fast pace of the automotive industry. If the demand exists for a product that is not within our current range we have the ability to develop and deliver it within a rapid timescale. We offer competitive lead times for new product development and accessible minimum order quantities which allow our partners to easily introduce products where they see new demand.

What range of applications does Axle Dynamics cover?

Truck and Bus

Truck and bus applications typically command a friction product with very capable and stable performance across a much wider range of temperatures. Our range of truck and bus friction materials has been developed specifically with this in mind. Such is the quality, performance and wear capability of our materials that they are installed at OES level in some applications throughout Europe.

In line with current European legislation, all Axle Dynamics truck and bus friction material products are fully tested, approved and certified to ECE Regulation 90.

Trailer

It’s not always possible to develop a friction material to cover all applications. This could be either price or performance prohibitive. Typically trailer applications do not require products of equivalent performance to truck applications and in some cases require products with a higher braking torque in order to be effective and fall in line with current ECE Regulation 90 requirements.

Van

Axle Dynamics also offer a wide range of braking products for light commercial vehicles (LCV).

Our range of disc brake pads and accessories covers most European LCV applications. Many LCVs in Europe are part of a much larger hire fleet and suffer considerable wear and tear. We have used our knowledge and experience in both the heavy vehicle and motorsport friction industries to develop a friction material portfolio suitable for what can be a very demanding working environment.
